What is Syphilis and why is this campaign urgent?

Syphilis infections in newborn babies have risen dramatically in Alaska during the last five years according to the State of Alaska. Since 2018 we have screened over 700 people for Syphilis, and treated 26 patients for syphilis, preventing severe infections and birth defects.
